TODD PALMER - 2017/18 'MVP OF THE YEAR'
Date of Event Rydalmere Cricket Club: Mon Jul 9, 2018 5:14PM

WRENS PRESENTATION NIGHT

And what a night we had!   Congratulations! The Rydalmere Wrens Executive sincerely thanks you for an outstanding year.

Todd is one of the most gifted batsmen and cunning bowler at the Wrens.  He is an enormous talent with powerful strokes to all parts of ground against all forms of bowling.  He is also an astute cricket brain who leads from the front.  He is also a very handy inswing bowler who bowls with pace, accuracy, and plenty of guile.

Todd season was nothing short of phenomenal.  By far and away he was the supreme batsman of the NCU competition – he showed enormous class at such a young age to captain the team as well as score the most runs. The future of the Wrens shines bright with the skill and calibre of Todd coming into 1st grade. Congrats Toddy.

Playing 10 matches in 1st grade, Todd scored an excellent 402 runs at an incredible average of 57.4, including a highest score of 117.  He also made 3 more scores over fifty – 72, 69 and 68. He also bowled 90 overs and claimed 19 wickets at an average of 15.5 runs per wicket, an economy rate of 3.3 runs per over, and a strike rate of 28 balls per wicket.  His best bowling was 5 for 58. He took 3 catches in the field including 1 run-out. Congratulations on winning Wrens MVP Player of the Year.
