Date of Event Rydalmere Cricket Club: Tue Jul 10, 2018 8:44PM

THE PALMER FAMILY HAT-TRICK OF CENTURIES

Has this feat been achieved before in cricket?

The three Palmer brothers - SCOTT, RICK & TODD - play in the Wrens 1st grade team this season.  Talented all-rounders Rick and Scott have been the cornerstone of the Wrens amazing success of 7 first grade premierships in 10 years!

This season, Wrens young gun allrounder TODD PALMER took over the captaincy responsibilities from brother RICK and took the young team to a grand final appearance.

In an extraordinary achievement, all 3 brothers scored 1st grade centuries for the same team in the same cricket season.  Its a phenomenal achievement when you think about it.

Todd Palmer scored 117 in round 6 against North Shore

Scott Palmer scored 104* in round 13 against Chatswood Gypsies

Rick Palmer scored 102* in round 5 against North Ryde RSL.

What's even more impressive is all 3 brother have won the Wrens highest award - the Michael Marando Most Valuable Player of the Year!

Has this been done before in the NDCA?  Unlikely

In any form of cricket? probably but it would be very rare indeed.

The future of the Wrens 1st grade team burns bright with 3 talented Palmer boys striking golden form in 1st grade for the Wrens.

Congrats to Todd, Scott & Rick.   The most accolades must go to father Joe Palmer for such impressive cricketing genes!
